If you are one of the two adolescent male species in my house at the moment then the answer to that title question would be no. No with an exclamation point! Or many exclamation points!!!! There is nothing else at the present time. That is all they have done for the last month and a half. Skate, skate, skate!
We actually went on sort of a Chandler Brothers World Skate Tour. Ok, so maybe not a world tour but quite possibly a southern/northern states skate tour.
Here's what we did. We headed up north towards Ohio to visit with friends with the idea in the back of our mind of hitting every skate park from Nashville to Cincinnati. It worked. Kinda.
First we made a stop at Ollie's in Florence Kentucky. Complete with vert ramp, mini bowl and tons and tons of skate space. (I believe 40,000 sq feet to be exact) It did not disappoint. The boys had a amazing time. And were quite aromatic after departing. Nice ride home for me for me. Pee-yew!!
So I did. I took one look down and said "Don't you dare drop in on this ramp today"!! I'm the ultimate cool daredevil mom like that. Not! Hey, that ramp was big. He is little. Maybe next time.
But he did do this.
Austin did this. He got super cool height. This a 15 foot vert ramp.
And Olivia (our cousin/ aka-life long friend BFF) did this. She is going to be the ultimate skater girl! Woo Hoo! GO Livy!! GIRL POWER! Sorry, I get a little excited when I see girl skateboarders. It's not an easy sport and it's mostly male dominated. And you must be really tough. We need more girls in the skateboard world. She'll be one of them. Just watch. More blog posts to come on this skater girl.
Then we dropped by this place in Hamiliton, Ohio. It's called the Family fun center and it's sports a nifty skate park inside. It's just getting up and running but with a little more work it could be a great place.
Then we stopped again at this place. We've been here before but it's a great little skate park. Located at Joyce Park in Fairfield, Ohio.
Mo did lots of this. He loves the bowl. I think he want's to marry it. You think I'm kidding.
Then we made one more stop. The Bowling Green, Kentucky park.
The boys had wanted to skate this park for awhile now and since we were headed home that way we made a quick pit stop. Here's what we found.
Total awesomeness. Well, that's what they said
Mo wasted no time hitting the bowls.
They were large. He liked it that way.
That's a long drop down.
He rode it for quite a while.
Then he spotted his brother jumping steps.
And he was not going to be left out.
No way, no how. He took on the six step.
And came in for a perfect landing. Nice!!
A fun time was had by all.
The Chandler Brothers World Skateboarding Tour will continue.
Stay tuned.
Over and out.
