It's very hot. And for some strange reason I am really unable to deal with the heat this year. Granted we have been experiencing record high's and while most everybody is sticky and uncomfortable for sure, I unlike many seem to have not one ounce of tolerance for the ridiculous temperatures. While others seem to be taking it all in stride, I'm just plain grouchy. To the max it seems. Just ask my boys. They'll tell ya. If you do ask they may say "Mom is really, really mean these days" or they might tell you that all I ever do is wander around aimlessly saying "It's hot" over and over and over again. It's all I can say. It's sort of a pathetic existence at the moment.Grouchy, short fused and puffy. Yep, that's me but even so I have still found the strength somewhere in my heart to take these guys to they're fave shred spots. I can't help it. I just love watching them do they're stuff. It amazes me. Even if I do expel thirty two and a half gallons of sweat from my bod every thirty minutes I sit there watching them skate. Oh and I'm never dramatic much.
It always blows me away that they can pull off doing tricks while rolling around in huge, empty and very DEEP swimming pools all on a piece of wood with wheels. It just amazes me. Always.
Inspiring in every way.

Then last week I was given advanced screening tickets to this movie. I was excited to go. Plus everyone is well aware that movie theaters are freezing. Just what I am looking or these days. Freezing cold places. Meat lockers are even starting to look like attractive places to hang out. I have issues I think.
Anyway the movie is an epic of epic epicness.
See? It say's so right there on the ticket.
And it was.
Austin and I went. See we took a picture. We're weird like that.
It was a hysterical film.
We laughed.
A lot!
We may go back and see it again once it actually hits the theaters. At least it's cool there.
Another thing weighing on my mind...knee pads.
The boys have tried nearly every brand out there and none seem to outlast my little grom's.
This one tears them up in record time and thinks it's soooooo funny that he manages to do it so quickly.
I on the other hand find it.. ummm... lets see... I find it expensive. Yes, that's it! Not funny. Just very, very expensive. At $40 a pair I'm starting to sweat it. And trust me I do not need to sweat another drop this summer.
Thinking a skate pad sponsorship could come in really handy right now. Like totally.
Finally found a brand that could withstand his beatings and have actually lasted approximately 2 months.
Awesome.
But still the pair he is wearing now have been reduced to shred's. Hence the word "shredding" as a skateboard term. Go figure.
So then I have to go and do this. It get's old after awhile. Help? Someone? Anyone?
And have you ever noticed that when placed up to your cheek that duct tape can have a very nice cooling sensation. Just noticed that. Interesting.
And finally I am now in the process of preparing for home school for this new school year that is upon us.
May peace be with me, and also not only with me but also over me, under me on the sides of me and through me would be nice also. In every possible way may peace pleeease be with me.
Homeschooling two boys... it's a lot is all I'm saying. That is all. But I will survive. In fact not just survive we will thrive and we will.. oh never mind. I have lesson planning to do. At least I'm indoors in the AC right?
Until next time.
