There is almost to much to tell. It's as if I have gone to the edge of the world and back and have to sum it all up in one short paragraph. It's not possible. So I will tell you this. It was incredibly amazing to see this guy. The boys were numb with excitement. How could they not be? This guy would be Tony Hawk. The world's best. If you do not know this I'm really sure what else to do with you. Kinda.
To see him do things like this was almost unbelieveable.
And do things like this. Just jaw dropping.
And then of course to watch him to the McTwist was absolutely amazing. There were times I just stopped taking pictures just to watch in awe. I'm not kidding. Those of you who know me know that I never just stop taking pictures. What he does will stop you in your tracks. Completely. I had no idea really. There is not a Youtube video that exists that can truly show you what this guy does live. Incredible.
Then meeting this guy was such a pleasure. Really. Mr. Kevin Staab. Such a personable and friendly guy. Who knew? Totally awesome! Yes I did just say totally awesome.
And then we got to watch him do this.
An this. Just look at the kids faces behind him in the picture. That says it all basically. Mind-blowing.
Also met and watched this guy. This would be baby Hawk. Otherwise known as Riley Hawk. Tony's oldest son.
He skated and we all watched in amazement.
We watched many guys from the Birdhouse Team and we're amazed at how the guys could perform so well at both Vert skating and Street.
From left to right we have Alan Young, Shawn Hale and Aaron "Jaws" Homoki ready to take they're run.
Aaron Homoki
Shawn Hale
Alan Young. Amazing. All of them. Just wish all of them would wear their helmets. It worries me. Geez.
Then of course my boys skated as much as possible.
Austin Chandler. Totally awesome!
Morgan Chandler. Amazing!
A fun time ws had by all.
Then we went to our hotel room and crashed because the SidelineMom was simply Exhausted. (with a capital E as you can see)
Then the next morning you'll never believe what happened. Ok maybe you will.
On our way home we heard the Team was going to make a surprise stop at the Louisville Extreme skatepark. Right on our way home. How could we not stop? We had to stop!
Again we spotted the lovely Quicksilver tour bus.
The boys again got to skate with Team Birdhouse. They were especially excited.
More pictures. Here with Shawn Hale and Alan Young. Nice guys.
More skating with Mr. Kevin Staab. (Tony Hawk had to make a quick trip to NJ to film a deodorant commercial)
Shawn Hale
David Loy
Riley Hawk and many more. Amazing skaters. Really!
And once again including the Chandler Brothers on their mini tour. ha ha
It's been a whirlwind two days but a lot of fun. And a lot of skating. I'm exhausted and I don't skate people! But I love watching my guys!
The tour will continue. Be watching.
Over and out.
The Sidelinemom.
